Monday morning, David took a car to Shenzhen, while I prepared to be a single parent in a foreign country for the week. The day started normal enough except for some GI issues that Taylor had. I had made plans with Wei for lunch, so we headed out to the IFC. There are no photos from our day out, but Taylor's GI issues were worse than I had expected. She threw up at the restaurant that we were having lunch at. I think we ruined a booth cushion. Whoops!
Thankfully, Wei was with us and able to help us get a couple of things together. We got a prepaid sim card and the cheapest cell phone possible, picked up some asian version of Pedialyte and got the number of a doctor in case things got worse. Luckily, Taylor has had a 24 hour GI bug in the US, so I wasn't too worried and knew what to do. Even better, my pediatrician office at home has a 24 hour nurse line that I called and they called me back at my HK number! Talk about great service.
We spent the afternoon just relaxing in the hotel room and recouping energy and hydrating. As you might remember, we were going to be moving hotel rooms on Monday. After a couple of calls from the front desk and checking out the larger room, I decided it was worth the effort to move rooms even though Taylor was sick.
Here's some photos of our new larger corner room!

The majority of our view was the buildings around Elements.

And of course, a great view of the ICC. Photo courtesy of Dave.

Behind the ICC, you can see Hong Kong island.

The bathtub/shower of this room had it's own impressive view of the ICC and the harbour tunnel. On the first day of showering, I forgot to look how to put down the shade. Hopefully no one from the ICC was looking into my bathroom that morning!
