Sorry for starting a blog and then not updating for almost 2 weeks! I was waiting for some photos from a friend, but still haven't received them. Oh well!
A couple of weeks ago, we went to the Garlic Gilroy Festival with our friend, Sue, and her cousin, Amy. I haven't eaten so much garlic in my life. We had the famous garlic ice cream, which was more like soft serve. Personally, I didn't like it and threw it away after 2 bites, but everyone else finished their cones. The four of us also shared garlic fries with crab on top (the fries were perfect, but the crab wasn't necessary), garlic bread and stuffed mushrooms. We learned that the food from the general area wasn't as good as the individual booths that were more specialized. After all the garlic, we wanted something light so we got some chocolate dipped fruits as dessert.
They had all these arts and crafts booths around the festival. One of them made funny garlic hats.

They also had some booths for sponsors of the event. One of them was Foster Farms and they had some chickens flying in the air.

Last weekend, I went up to Seattle to visit David. He travels there for work every week so instead of him coming home, I went to him! Here's the view from our hotel room.

The most exciting thing of the weekend was when we went on a boat to the Puget Sound. We went through the locks, which is kind of like a water elevator. It brings you up/down 26 feet because the ocean is 26 feet lower than the lakes. I took a bunch of photos on my friend's camera but haven't received them!
Finally, here's the most recent photo of me from Monday night. I tend to wear shirts that are a big baggier, so to show off the belly, I have to hold back my shirt.

Besides our travels, I've been sewing a lot! I'll get around to taking photos of the finished items in the next week or two and show you what I've made.
Today's our 3rd year anniversary, but David is in Seattle. This is the second time that David's work has caused him to be in a different city than me, but it's okay because we're going away for the weekend!
