Baby Shower!

Sophia and Sue planned an amazing shower for us on the Sunday after our date in the Half Moon Bay. When we arrived at Sophia's house, it was amazing to see how they had decorated Sophia's house!

Thank you Sue and Sophia! We loved the shower!

They even personalized water bottles with the theme!

The spread of food was amazing. Cookie lollipops, mini sandwiches with the crusts cut off, mini hot dogs in blankets, popcorn corns, cupcakes, fruit and crudite. Yum!

There was also a beautiful diaper cake that Elaine had made topped with Sophie the giraffe. Thanks Elaine!!
Besides food, they had put together a bunch of games for our friends to play. They had made personalized game cards for the multiple games that were available.

Two of the popular games were to guess what chocolate was in the diaper and to guess the flavor of baby food. We warned our vegetarian friends to not taste the "fleshy" colored jars.

Dave's evaluating the chocolate poop with great detail. He was able to guess almost all the chocolate except for the Ghiradelli with Hazelnuts, but no one was able to get that chocolate bar.

Nate and little Elmo were also at the shower. I think he's saying that he'd like to share his toy with us.

Baby Sophie also made an appearance. This baby was only 1 week old! Her parents, Saks and Katy, were brave enough to bring her to a crowded environment and hopefully it was enjoyable for them.

Jim was analyzing the baby food. In theory, he should have the biggest advantage since Elaine and him are the only ones who actually have a child who has eaten baby food out of jars. I'm assuming he was avoiding doing the actual tasting because almost all of them tasted terrible (or at least that's what I heard). After seeing people's reactions, I avoided all of the baby jars!

As soon as Erick and Elaine arrived, they jumped into the games.

The food was slowly devoured as the party went on!

Halfway through the party, we sat down and opened up the wonderful gifts that people gave us.

Right before we opened the presents, Sue revealed the answers to the baby trivia game.

One of our games was guessing my waist size. I wish we had went through around the room asking what people had guessed. I think it would have been funny to see the guesses.

My favorite game was having people guess which physical and personality traits I would want our baby to have between Dave and me. In this photo, I must have given Dave a trait that he wasn't expecting. =)

Overall, we had a great time. We hadn't seen some people in a couple of months and with the baby almost here and the holidays approaching, we weren't sure when we'd see them next!

I've had a request for an updated belly photo with a tighter fitting shirt. I'll try to post that within the next week. Our baby is now considered fully cooked (37 weeks), so in theory, she could come out any day now and be perfectly healthy. I'm hoping she'll come out in the next week or so, but I think that's what every pregnant person is hoping for at this stage.
